I’ve registered for an information session but I haven’t received a confirmation email, can I still attend?

Of course, a team member will simply get your details at the door.

Am I able to bring my kids/partner?

Yes you can bring any family, friends or support you need to help you and they are also able to ask questions.

What will the session cover/which session is the best for me to attend?

We run a range of information sessions covering a number of topics on a regular basis. Most sessions cover general information relating to each topic and you will have the opportunity to ask any specific questions you have at the end.

I’m interested in one particular Service, will there be someone from that Service that I can speak to?

There will be general information about all 3 Services covered and military members there to answer any questions you have. You will be able to discuss your option in more depth with a Careers Coach once you start an application.

What if I’m running late or can’t make it? Who do I contact?

If you cannot make a session that you have registered for, simply click ‘unregister’ at the bottom of your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the contact person listed on the events page. 

Is there a dress code?

Neat casual is fine.

Is there an age limit/restrictions on who can attend?

There are no age restrictions for attending information sessions, however there are specific requirements you need to meet to apply for a job in the ADF.

How much do tickets cost? How do I register?

All info sessions are free to attend, but an RSVP is appreciated. You can register on the event page here: Register

Do I need to bring anything?

There is nothing you need to bring, however you’re welcome to bring something to write notes on if you wish.

Are information sessions held online? If I miss a session what should I do?

Our information sessions are operating with a blended delivery model of both virtual and face to face sessions to accommodate your availability and personal circumstances.
We do run info sessions on a regular basis and you are welcome to register to attend another information session. Alternatively if you have any general queries, you can call 13 19 01 and they will be able to answer any questions you may have.
